The search engine checks to see how many other sites are linked to yours. Sites with similar content to your site are given a higher value, but all links are valued. So...if you increase the number of links to your site, you can improve your search engine rankings. Affiliate Types There are two types of affiliates, paying and non-paying. With a paying affiliate, you place your affiliates banner or link on your site and your affiliate will pay you a commission or fee each time a visitor clicks through to them or purchases something from them. Very often a paying affiliate will not link back to your site, the trade-off being that you are creating income with their link. Non-paying affiliates are generally referred to as reciprocal links. You place your affiliate's banner or link on your site and they place yours on theirs. Neither one of you pays the other a commission or fee for any click-throughs or purchases - the value of doing this is that you both increase the number of links to your sites. My Affiliate Programs I do not have a paying affiliate program for this site, but I do have a reciprocal link and submission program. Reciprocal Links: This is very simple. You add my banner or link to your site. I come to your site and review what you've done. If your site fits in with what I'm trying to accomplish on my website and your site is in keeping with the policies I've established for my website, then I will add your link or banner to my site.
